Beyond Traditional Tort Law, 'Desk Rage' is Now a Potential Claim - News - ABA Journal

A very interesting article pertaining to workplace bullying. ABA stands for the American Bar Association.  The article gives a glimmer of hope for those who have been victimized by workplace bullies. Workplace bullying is potentially more detrimental  to the victims physical and mental health then typical standard discriminatory plights.
Workplace bullying is more of a systematic, on going, pattern of interpersonal abuse against the victim by either one or more employees. It does not necessarily have to be a supervisor, the bullies can be anyone.  Although most times it is a supervisor who enlists other employees to gang up on the individual.  A ganging up effect is called, "mobbing." The health effects can be very serious, thus leading to post traumatic stress disorder and sometime bulllycide, [suicide by bullying.] Because in these bad economic times it is difficult for the bullied victim to just pick up and leave, so the only alternative is to endure the bullying until the physical and psychological effects destroy the victim.
