Candlelight Vigil Remembering York County Teen and Effort to Stop Bullying

Candlelight Vigil Remembering York County Teen and Effort to Stop Bullying

Another teen commits suicide. In another devastating way to thwart her brutal attacker it appeared Ambriel Bowen believed that suicide was the only way to get away from the brutality of her deadly attacker. After enduring weeks of physical attacks from her bully where the last attack left Ambriel Bowen with two black eyes, a broken nose, a facial contusion and swollen hands she had very few options, in her mind.
A candlelight vigil was being held in York County in the exact place where the tortous bullying occurred. People came from allover to support the anti bullying message. Although the number of suicides are climbing, the number of brutal bullying attacks are climbing too. Even with the widely increase in media attention the deadly bullying is increasing. It seems that prevention and awareness is not enough. Time for legislating strict criminal laws with a mandate to enforce those laws.
